The Big Dipper is a Sacramento-based frozen dessert business offering chocolate-dipped frozen bananas at farmers markets, community events, and private events.
References to “The Big Dipper,” “we,” “us,” and “our” in these terms refer to The Big Dipper. References to “you” and “your” refer to website visitors, prospective clients and customers.
Website Information
We make reasonable efforts to keep the information on this website accurate and current. However, menu items, toppings, drizzles, pricing, event availability, photographs, descriptions, and other website content may change without notice.
Website information is provided for general informational purposes and does not constitute a binding offer or guarantee of availability.
Event Inquiries and Bookings
Submitting a contact or event-inquiry form does not reserve a date or create a booking, contract or obligation for either party.
An event is confirmed only after:
- The Big Dipper confirms availability
- The client receives and accepts an event proposal
- Both parties sign an Event Service Agreement
- The required 30% booking retainer is received
Event services are subject to availability, permitting requirements, venue restrictions, travel limitations and mutually agreed terms.
General Event Pricing
Unless otherwise stated in a written proposal:
- Private-event service requires a minimum order of 25 Dippers.
- Dippers are priced at $8 each.
- A $300 base service fee applies.
- The base service fee includes one attendant, setup, breakdown, and up to two hours of made-to-order service.
- Additional staffing, service time, travel, customization, peak-time surcharges, and applicable sales tax are charged separately.
Pricing shown on this website is subject to change. Pricing included in a signed Event Service Agreement controls that specific booking.
Payments
Payments for private events are not processed directly through this website. Payments may be arranged through an invoice or a third-party payment service such as Square, Venmo, or Zelle.
Third-party payment providers maintain their own terms, privacy practices, and security procedures. The Big Dipper is not responsible for the operation or security of third-party payment platforms.
Allergens and Dietary Information
The Big Dipper uses ingredients that contain or may contain milk, peanuts, tree nuts, wheat, soy, and other allergens.
Although chocolates, toppings, and utensils may be stored or handled separately, all treats are prepared in a shared workspace. Cross-contact may occur, and we cannot guarantee that any product is completely free from allergens.
Guests with severe or life-threatening food allergies should not consume our products. Please review our Allergen Information page and discuss ingredient questions with us before ordering.
Unless specifically identified otherwise, no menu item should be assumed to be dairy-free, gluten-free, nut-free, vegan, or free from another allergen.
